Supply Chain Sourcing Analyst (Tarrytown, NY)

The Supply Chain Sourcing Analyst provides mutual support to our Operations team and our group of contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) that produce finished goods (FGs) in the form of OTC drug and other healthcare products. Performs comprehensive due diligence on current and new suppliers domestically and internationally. Assesses various risks to the company including: supply, quality, cGMP, information security, financial viability, business continuity, and contract risk.

Prior knowledge in any of the following areas in an OTC or pharma drug environment is beneficial: supplier management, procurement, business continuity/disaster recovery planning, security infrastructure, company financial documents and privacy policies. 

Key Responsibilities:

               
  • Support supply chain risk assessments and process   
    • Collect risk-related information from key suppliers; organize and maintain key data.
    • Conduct site visits to review and understand risk-related information.
    • Review and understand basic production capacity and utilization models.
    • Lead internal Prestige reviews of major suppliers.
    • Follow-up and track any risk mitigation activities for each supplier.
  • Lead efforts to build internal documentation of outsourced BOMs in SAP
  • Collect BOM data (e.g., SKU #, supplier, raw or component description, historic pricing) for key brands.
  • Utilize SAP to organize and identify opportunities to leverage spend across the business.
  • Support other operational areas (e.g., procurement, supplier management, contracts, CIT opportunities)                          
  • Manage and coordinate project management activities among Operations, Marketing, Sales, Packaging Development, and Science & Technology, to ensure the on time delivery of key actions.
  • Communicate project status and management of priorities across multiple manufacturing and packaging locations and regions.
  • Create and manage task lists and schedules.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and schedules using shared internal and external resources.
  • Lead the project to remain on schedule.
  • Partner with colleagues across multiple business units to help drive completion of assigned vendor risk assessments.
  • Develop positive working relationships to maintain an open environment for collaboration, risk identification and remediation.
  • Maintain a current understanding of relevant supplier risk management best practices and regulations

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain, scientific, engineering or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, supply chain management (including sourcing, technical services, production, production planning, engineering) or related field.
  • At least 2 years in the pharmaceutical, OTC drug or consumer packaged goods Industry under FDA and cGMP guidance/compliance.
  • Experience in direct and/or matrix people management role with demonstrated ability to influence successful outcomes without direct line reporting authority.
  • Capable of quickly gathering high-level understanding of complex technical and scientific issues.
  • Broad understanding of how to drive success across a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrate a global mindset and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent organizational, diplomatic, and problem-solving skills and ability to cope well under pressure in an extremely fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong quality systems background in cGMP environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • High proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Travel up to 15% mainly in North America.
